A screening mammogram takes about 15 minutes and about 30 minutes for those who have breast implants. Mammograms require that you undress above the waste and wear a gown given to you by the technologist.
Breast compression may cause slight discomfort for a brief time during the exam, however; it should not be painful. There are mammopads available if requested that may lessen your discomfort.
Feel free to ask our staff any questions that you may have before, during, or after your exam.
