There's a lot going on in Fort Wayne this weekend! Check out some of our amazing local events and festivals!

There’s no room for boredom this weekend. Fall is now in full swing and Fort Wayne is geared up for the season with local events, festivals, and activities. Here are some of the events that are going on this weekend!

• Johnny Appleseed Festival. Fort Wayne’s most beloved festival. Enjoy food, crafts, antiques, and military reenactments of the early 1800s in commemoration of John Chapman. Don’t forget to grab a cold bottle of sarsaparilla on your way in! Admission is free.
• Country Fest 2014. Country Fest is this Saturday at Parkview Field! The lineup includes Brett Eldredge, Parmalee, Craig Campbell, The Swon Brothers, Kelleigh Bannen, and headliner Billy Currington. Doors open at 1 p.m. and the show starts around 3 p.m.
• Coney Island Block Party and Beer Tent. Come celebrate Coney Island’s 100th anniversary! Main Street will be shut down for the entire day this Saturday for this event. Join them for live bands, magicians, acrobats, the beer tent, a dunk tank, a classic car show, and, of course, Coney Island’s classic Coney dogs!
• IPFW’s Production of The Fantasticks. The longest-running musical in the world is hitting the stage at IPFW this weekend! Come out to support the IPFW theatre department and enjoy this American classic. The show begins at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
• The Goonies Downtown Fort Wayne Treasure Hunt. Don’t miss this fun and family-friendly treasure hunt hosted by Fort Wayne’s Cinema Center! Each family or team will be given a map, a passport, and a clue to the next location in the treasure hunt. The first team to collect each item will win a Cinema Center Family Membership and receive free admission to the 5:30 p.m. screening of The Goonies. The event starts at 2 p.m. and admission is free.
